Tools:
10 mm Crochet Hook
1 inch Fabric Strips. ( T-shirt yarn can be used)
Scissors
Measuring Tape
4 Stitch Markers
Form slip knot and crochet a chain 10" shorter than the length of the rug you need.
Round 1: Turn working back into the chain,
Skip first ch st, 1 sc in next ch and insert st marker into that sc, 1 sc in each ch except
for knot at the end and insert st marker in last sc st, 3 sc in knot at the end, working around to other side of ch put 1 sc in next ch and insert st marker, 1 sc in each ch except for skipped ch on end and insert st marker in last sc st, working under the skipped ch and not into it 3 sc sts.
Round 2: skip next sc, 1 sc in each st from st marker to stitch marker and re-insert st markers, 2 sc in each st on end of rug, 1 sc in each st from st marker to st marker and re-insert st markers, 2 sc in each st on end of rug,
Note: From stitch marker to stitch markers
it will always be 1 sc in each stitch. The next rounds will be for the pattern on the ends only.
Round 3: ( 2 sc, 1 sc)
Round 4: ( 2 sc, 1 sc next 2 sts)
Round 5: ( 1 sc next 3 sts, 2 sc)
Round 6: ( 2 sc, 1 sc next 4 sts)
Round 7: ( 1 sc next 5 sts, 2 sc)
Round 8: ( 2 sc, 1 sc next 6 sts)
Round 9: ( 1 sc next 7 sts, 2 sc)
Round 10: ( 2 sc, 1 sc next 8 sts)
Round 11: ( 1 sc next 9 sts, 2 sc)
To finish the rug slip stitch into next 2 stitches, chain 1 and cut off a 4" tail,
Weave tail into rug and tie off on back side of rug.
